We'd rather not sit on improvements for weeks at a time, we'd rather continuously push things out and keep you directly involved, even if that does sometimes bring the bad along with the good. Unfortunately the byproduct of that is occasionally negative, but in our opinion the ends justify the means. It's never something we intend, our goal is always to be getting you improvements & positive gains - rapidly, without waiting a month or more. Unfortunately this kind of stuff is the nature of the experimental branch, and especially of our "move fast" methodology - sometimes our intentions of bringing positive gains to you quickly go great, and as a result we're able to provide you with big performance gains or new things, and rapidly sometimes however they don't go so well, and you have major issues, such as stuck workers. We apologize for the inconvenience & frustration this issue may have caused you. You may need to manually cancel and construction projects that are left in an unfinished state and that the workers do not automatically resume upon loading the save. Note that some in-progress construction projects may be left in a strange or un-finished state we didn't have a ton of time to spend on "save fixing" code, but we did ensure backwards compatibility as best we could. We will be further reviewing this code, improving its performance, and fixing any loose ends we may have missed it's possible there may still be situations that result in stuck workers, and if so we'll get those fixed, but we believe that what's currently live should substantially improve the issue while we investigate further. This fix was put together rapidly in order to quickly address the situation with stuck workers. This is obviously better than stuck workers in the meantime, though, and we'll be circling back around to improve the performance of the worker pathfinding in a future patch that is better vetted. This will re-introduce some construction-related lag, and other staff that take long paths will also contribute to the reduced performance.

No one will create fuss about an additional 1-2 kgs. The only restriction is that the connecting flight (outgoing or incoming) should be within 48 hours of your domestic Indigo flight.Ģ, 3) when booking the Indigo flight you have to select 2 options. I did this recently, so I can answer your questions.ġ) No, the flight doesn't need to be from Indigo, it can be any airlines. Buy additional bag and weight at least 6 hr before the flight online (hard rule) and go to the Indigo counter at the airport. In general, it was very smooth and professional. And I was free to distribute total 45kg in 2 bags whichever way I want. I bought one additional piece and 30kg extra. There are no limitations on the weight of each bag (up to a limit obviously). International flight doesn't have to be with Indigo. Can anyone give me concrete answers/suggestions on these doubts? Any help will be greatly appreciated. After this conversation, my best guesses for my questions are: (1) still not sure, (2) it needs to be 15+30kg, (3) need to buy extra 'piece' in addition to extra weight. I talked to Indigo customer service but the representative was surprisingly inadequate in understanding my situation and providing an exact solution. But I have three doubts: (1) Does the international flight need to be with Indigo to avail that offer? (2) If I buy 30kg excess baggage (over 15kg), can I split 22+22kg or does it need to be 15+30kg? (3) If I buy 30kg excess baggage, do I also need to separately add one more 'piece' of baggage? According to this link, I can buy extra weight on my indigo domestic flight if I have a connecting international flight. But I am unsure about how to take two 23kg bags in that domestic flight.ĭomestic flight allows one bag of 15kg. This "electric device" designed by Misell was powered by "D" batteries laid front to back in a paper tube with the light bulb and a rough brass reflector at the end. 617,592, assigned to American Electrical Novelty and Manufacturing Company. On January 10, 1899, British inventor David Misell obtained U.S. It could be instantly turned on and off, and avoided fire risk. The electric lamp was odorless, smokeless, and emitted less heat than combustion-powered lighting. Portable hand-held electric lights offered advantages in convenience and safety over (combustion) torches, candles and lanterns. The first mass-produced dry cell batteries came in 1896, and the invention of portable electric lights soon followed. This was the first battery suitable for portable electrical devices, as it did not spill or break easily and worked in any orientation. Unlike previous batteries, it used a paste electrolyte instead of a liquid. The first dry cell battery was invented in 1887. January 1899 Ever-Ready flashlight ad mentioning the proceedings against the alleged patent-infringing rival companies. Consequently, they could be used only in brief flashes, hence the common North American name "flashlight". Because these early flashlights also used energy-inefficient carbon-filament bulbs, "resting" occurred at short intervals. Some flashlights can be used under water or in flammable atmospheres.Įarly flashlights ran on zinc–carbon batteries, which could not provide a steady electric current and required periodic "rest" to continue functioning. Head- or helmet-mounted flashlights designed for miners and campers leave the hands free. In addition to the general-purpose, hand-held flashlight, many forms have been adapted for special uses. Flashlights are used as a light source outdoors, in places without permanently installed lighting, during power outages, or when a portable light source is needed. Some have solar panels to recharge the battery. Some are powered by the user turning a crank, shaking the lamp, or squeezing it. Today, flashlights use mostly light-emitting diodes and run on disposable or rechargeable batteries. The invention of the dry cell and miniature incandescent electric lamps made the first battery-powered flashlights possible around 1899. A typical flashlight consists of the light source mounted in a reflector, a transparent cover (sometimes combined with a lens) to protect the light source and reflector, a battery, and a switch, all enclosed in a case. Formerly, the light source typically was a miniature incandescent light bulb, but these have been displaced by light-emitting diodes (LEDs) since the mid-2000s. The angle-head flashlight (Fulton MX-991U) on the left uses an incandescent bulb, while the adjustable angle-head flashlight (Streamlight Sidewinder) on the right uses LEDs to give white, red, blue, and infrared lightĪ flashlight ( US, CA) or torch ( UK, AU) is a portable hand-held electric lamp. Biography: Nick Abbott is the head of training at iKOS.Richard and Nick have been collaborating on projects since the mid-1990s and have a great balance of skills between them that mean the first draft of collaborative work will have already been through many critical rewrites. They both live in the Drupal ecosystem on a daily basis and Getting Started with Drupal Commerce-the first title they worked on with Packt Publishing-was well received. He graduated with a first class degree in mechanical engineering in 1996 and has been working with various web technologies ever since. They have both worked exclusively with Drupal on all their projects for 7 years. Indeed, his first introduction to working with Nick was by way of a school database project using the then legendary Acorn ViewStore package-way ahead of its time as an EPROM-based offering. Richard's first computer was an 8-bit BBC Master and this began his journey into computing proper. Richard Jones is the Technical Director and co-founder of iKOS (now part of the Inviqa group)-a European digital agency specializing in Drupal. He graduated with a first class degree in applied physics in the late 1980s, and he worked in IT and education right up until he joined iKOS in 2008. After the ritual stint in BASIC, he moved on to writing games in Z assemblers, hardware interfacing, and many happy hours creating business solutions with the BBC Micro based around the Acorn View family. Nick started his digital life in 1981 working on an ICL 2904 mainframe, a Commodore PET, and a Commodore VIC20. Nick Abbott is the head of training at iKOS. This is an absolute beginners' guide, providing step-by-step instructions to help you learn Drupal 8 from scratch. By the end of the book, you will be able to develop and manage a modern and responsive website using Drupal. Push your knowledge by getting to grips with the modular nature of Drupal, and learning to extend it by adding new functionalities to create your new modules. Start with the basics, such as setting up a local "stack" development environment and installing your first Drupal 8 site, then move on to image and media handling, and extending Drupal modules. The book takes you step by step through building a Drupal 8 website. Drupal 8 allows user to easily customize data structures, listings, and pages, and take advantage of new capabilities for displaying data on mobile devices, building APIs, and adapting to multilingual needs. * Develop the look and feel of your website using Drupal themesĭrupal 8 sets a new standard for ease of use, while offering countless new ways to tailor and deploy your content to the Web. * Extend Drupal using custom community modules * Get hands-on with image and media handling * Define content types and taxonomies-and find out when you should do so * Find out what is available in Drupal 8 core * Set up a local "stack" development environment and install your first Drupal 8 site No knowledge of PHP, MySQL, or HTML is assumed or required If you want to learn to use Drupal 8 for the first time, or you are transitioning over from a previous version of Drupal, this is the book for you. * Ensure your sites are modern, responsive and mobile-friendly through utilizing the full features available in Drupal 8 * Follow a practical case study chapter-by-chapter to construct a complete website as you progress * Build complete, complex websites with no prior knowledge of web development entirely using the intuitive Drupal user interface Create complex websites quickly and easily using the building blocks of Drupal 8, the most powerful version of Drupal yet Drop-out rates by eight weeks of treatment were similar to placebo for the majority of antidepressants. The least effective was the serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor reboxetine, which increased treatment response by 37% (OR 1.37, 95% CrI 1.16 to 1.63). The most effective antidepressant compared to placebo was the tricyclic antidepressant amitriptyline, which increased the chances of treatment response more than two-fold (odds ratio 2.13, 95% credible interval 1.89 to 2.41). All 21 antidepressants were more likely to produce a treatment response after eight weeks treatment than a placebo. However, the trials were all placebo controlled. They found 380 trials at possible risk of bias due mainly to lack of reporting of randomisation methods, and 46 at high risk. The antidepressants were compared for effectiveness (at least 50% improvement in symptoms) and acceptability (assessed as drop-out rate). As well as publication databases, international trial registers and drug approval websites, the researchers had contacted all pharmaceutical companies marketing antidepressants to ask for unpublished studies. More than 100 trials were previously unpublished. They included 522 double-blind randomised controlled trials of 116,477 adults with moderate to severe depression. This systematic review and network meta-analysis compared 21 antidepressants with placebo or each other, directly within trials and indirectly across trials. This new analysis went to some lengths to find unpublished studies and additional data from published studies, to give us the best overview of the current state of research. One 2008 meta-analysis suggested that antidepressants gave little benefit over placebo for mild to moderate depression. Their mode of action is poorly understood, and improvement in mood tends to be modest. There has been uncertainty in recent years about the effectiveness of antidepressants. There is conflicting evidence to guide which antidepressants should be prescribed first-line, although NICE recommends a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). Antidepressants are widely prescribed in primary and secondary care, along with psychological interventions such as cognitive behavioural or interpersonal therapy. It is extensive, included only placebo controlled double blind trials and searched successfully for unpublished trials.ĭepression is a common condition, affecting an estimated 1 in 10 adults at some point in their lives. Though there are some concerns over items not reported by individual trials, this review is likely to be reliable. However, it did not assess antidepressants compared to other treatments such as cognitive behavioural therapy, or treatments in combination. The review provides new evidence which may help people decide which antidepressant to choose first-line for moderate to severe depression. Several drugs were more effective and were stopped by fewer people than others: Researchers ranked drugs by effectiveness and acceptability after eight weeks of treatment. Five antidepressants appear more effective and better tolerated than others.Ī major review of 522 antidepressant trials found that all of the 21 drugs studied performed better than placebo, in short-term trials measuring response to treatment.
